Author Biography

Joseph Gomsu

geboren 1954 in Kamerun, studierte Germanistik und Anglistik an den Universitäten Abidjan an der Elfenbeinküste und in Saarbrücken und promovierte 1982 in Metz über die Rolle der traditionellen „Chefs“ in Kamerun während der deutschen Kolonialzeit. 1996 hat er sich an der Universität Hannover mit einer Schrift zum Thema „Wohlfeile Fernstenliebe? Annäherungsversuche der westdeutschen Linken an die Dritte Welt“ habilitiert. 2002 kehrte er zurück an die Universität Hannover und lehrte hier ein Semester lang Literaturwissenschaft im Rahmen der „Georg Forster-Professur für Interkulturelle Literaturwissenschaft“.
