DOAJ-Seal

2025-06-16

Dear HiN community,

As of 8 April 2025, DOAJ has retired its Seal for all journals it indexes. At DOAJ’s request, we have therefore removed the Seal from our site—this change is universal and does not reflect any alteration in HiN’s quality or practices.

HiN remains fully indexed in DOAJ, the global gold standard for Open Access publishing, underscoring our continued commitment to:

  • Rigorous editorial and technical standards, including digital preservation, and the use of persistent identifiers

  • A generous CC BY-NC licence, ensuring free access while safeguarding non-commercial reuse rights

  • Open, rich metadata, powering discovery via Google Scholar, Web of Science, AI tools like ChatGPT, library discovery systems, and more—often tripling article-level traffic

  • Global reach and visibility, ensuring our content is discoverable worldwide across multiple languages, disciplines, and platforms

We remain proud of our DOAJ listing and the best practices it represents. If you have any questions about the Seal’s retirement or HiN’s ongoing standards, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
