HiN with DOAJ Seal
HiN – Alexander von Humboldt in the Net has been listed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) since 2006. As part of a campaign aimed at updating and increasing its quality, DOAJ has called upon all the journals listed to renew their accreditation. We are pleased to announce that HiN will continue to be listed in the DOAJ, now including all the metadata of every article published in HiN since its first edition in 2000.
As a new measurement of the reapplication process DOAJ also examined whether HiN meets the requirements of the new DOAJ-Seal, a cachet exclusively reserved for journals indicanting an extra high and clear commitment to open access best practices, of extra high levels of commitment to publishing technologies, and the most ‘open’ form of open access. Those journals are listed separately inside DOAJ and can be searched directly (currently accounting for 6% of the list’s total). HiN – Alexander Humboldt in the Net has now been awarded with the DOAJ-Seal.
We are proud that the new accreditation confirms our high standards of content and technical quality to guarantee safe and open publishing.
